ship_mapper.bulk_convert_to_nc

ship_mapper.bulk_convert_to_nc(converter, path_to_data_in=None, path_to_converter=None, path_to_yaml=None, overwrite=False)[source]

Converts ALL raw files in a directory into “Standard” .nc ship_mapper files

Parameters:

converter (str) –

Name of converter to use. Supported names are:

  • AIS_CCG - AIS from Canadian Coastgard
  • VMS_DFO - VMS from DFO
  • VMS_DFO_Oracle - VMS from DFO via Oracle database
Keyword Arguments:
 
  • path_to_data (str) – Directory where raw files are located
  • path_to_converter (str) – Directory where converter file is located
  • path_to_yaml (str) – Directory where data_info.yaml is located
  • overwrite (bool) – If True it will overwrite preiviously converted files
Returns:

“Standard” .nc ship_mapper files
